Submitting a Nomination
Submit a nomination using the form below. You will be requested to upload a nomination file (one compiled PDF file), which must contain the following items:
- Letter of nomination: Maximum two pages.
- Letters of Support: Submit up to three support letters (max two pages each) from individuals other than the nominator, highlighting the nominee’s contributions to the field. For the Europlanet Early-Career Medal one support letter is required whereas the Europlanet Mid-Career and Lifetime Achievement Medals require two and three support letters respectively.
- Nominee’s curriculum vitae (CV): Including name, history of employment, degrees, research and teaching/supervision experience, honors, outreach activities, and service to the research community.
- Nominee’s research output: Highlight up to three major research achievements by the nominee. You may list up to 10 publications by the candidate that best supports these achievements. Please provide one or more digital identifiers (e.g., Google Scholar, ORCID, Scopus, ADS) that allow reviewing the complete bibliography of the nominee.
The Committee especially encourages nominations of active members in the planetary science community who have participated in the annual EPSC meetings and contributed to the exchange of scientific knowledge and ideas.
Evaluation of nominations
One main reviewer and two secondary reviewers will be assigned to all nominations. Submissions will be assessed against the following criteria:
- Scientific excellence
- Community building (e.g supervision or congress organisation)
- Outreach.
Each nomination will be rated on a 0 to 4 scale with the value and meaning of individual marks defined as:
- 0: not eligible
- 1: fair
- 2: good
- 3: very good
- 4: exceptional.
